About the Hospitalist Program

We are an independently owned practice, currently comprised of 45 plus physicians who provide care for the Northern Colorado region at 3 local University of Colorado Hospitals. We are based in Fort Collins, CO and are surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Our providers are supported by specialized Hospitalist Nurses who work exclusively with our team. We offer a flexible scheduling model to facilitate a focus on work/life balance.

Education Program

Northern Colorado Hospitalists are committed to fostering growth of the next generation of physicians! The group has partnered with The University of Colorado School of Medicine at Colorado State University Branch Campus to provide the Hospitalized Adult Clerkship. Through this a subset of our group physicians have volunteered to provide Hospital Medicine education to these exceptional students. The combination of an excellent medical community and the growth of the Front Range has placed Fort Collins in a new epicenter for medical education. We at the Northern Colorado Hospitalists group are happy to participate and lead the development of education and curriculum for the next generation of physicians. Our group also provides education to the residents of the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency Program in the form of an elective rotation focused on inpatient medicine. Here the residents work one on one with our volunteer teaching preceptors to expand their knowledge of medicine and immerse themselves in the life of a hospitalist.

Research Opportunities

NCH members are actively participating in research projects conducted within UCH North.

Goals

Allow interested NCH physicians to learn about and actively participate in research projects. The Hospitalist role in research is often key as they have the unique opportunity to be the first providers evaluating patients and can quickly identify eligible patients for study enrollment.
